This consisted of an online test of around 90 minutes.
The question were from normal aptitude, based on normal geometry etc.
There was a section for verbal as well, which mainly had grammar and some vocabulary based questions.
The 3rd section had technical based question, based on your branch. The difficulty was somewhere between easy - medium.
After the computer based test, the next day we had a presentation organized by the company, to give us some basic information about the company and the role we would play in the company if we are selected.
They had filtered out candidates for the next round .The group discussion was done in a group of 10.
We were given a topic ("Space technology : a boon or curse to the mankind" was the topic for my group). They gave us 2 mins to think over the topic. The group discussion was carried out for 10 mins, after which they selected approximately 1-3 students from each group from the next round.
Fortunately, there was no technical interview. For this interview the panel consisted of an HR, a guy from management side as well as a guy from technical side.
The interview kicked off with: "Tell us about yourself"
The next question was based on "product management", as I unknowingly mentioned it in the previous answer.
They gave me a real life scenario, and asked me what would be my approach in such a scenario.
Then the next one was, " Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?"
"Which was the toughest phase in your life and how you dealt with it?"
And in the end they asked me if I have any questions?
You have ample time to solve the test, so just solve the question properly and ensure you have a high accuracy, as this will help you in the further rounds as well.
Practice the aptitude based questions, and increase your hold on these questions.
Group discussion is all about stating your point clearly and you should be in the spotlight so that you get noticed by the panel.
Interview was all about how confident I was, and my approach to look at certain things.
Do keep your answers ready for the typical HR questions like "Tell us about yourself", "where do you see yourself in the next 5 years" etc.
As far as this specific company was concerned, they wanted confident guys who could communicate their thoughts clearly.
