Computer Based Test Interview

Interview Experience

This experience is for Oracle FSGBU. It was conducted on Oracle's Online Platform. It was an MCQ-based test with no negative marking.
It had 4 sections which were Aptitude, Software Engineering concepts, Coding skills, and Verbal Skills and each section was further divided into subsections.
Aptitude consisted of math questions and normal reasoning questions.
Software Engineering concepts were based on OOPS, DBMS, OS, etc.
The questions in the coding skills section were inclined more towards trees.
Verbal Skills consisted of grammar, passages, errors in the statements, synonyms, etc.
Once submitted, we couldn't go back to any section/subsection. There's an option to skip a question and all the skipped questions will be displayed at the end of each subsection where you can answer them.
This round was held in the evening wherein you can start the test anytime between 5:00-5:30.
A total of 17 students were shortlisted for the next round.

Round 2

This round was held in the morning but due to some issue, all the interviews were delayed by 1.5hrs. It was Scheduled on Zoom.
The interviewer started by introducing himself and then asked me to introduce myself and also to tell him about my projects.
He asked me about the paradigms of Object-Oriented Programming. He asked me to explain all of them with an example.
He then asked me about the Types of Polymorphism.
Then he went to data structures and asked me what exactly are linked Lists and some basic questions on them.
While introducing myself, I told him that I learned web development. So, He asked what projects I have done using it. He asked me what technologies I have used, the packages I used, and the CRUD operations involved in them.
I was asked 2 coding questions,
The first one was a variant of:

This was a straightforward question.
The second one was:

In this question, I first explained to him the naive approach using 2 loops and then the efficient one using a single loop, where I did a mistake but the interviewer helped me out.
He then asked me if I had any questions for him.
After this round, I was told to wait in the waiting room and after 30 minutes, I was called for the second interview.
All the 17 students were sent into the second interview as well.

This round also started with me introducing myself first.
He asked me to explain all the projects written in my resume elaborately.
I used linked lists in one of my projects and he asked me why I used them.
He then asked me a little about web development.
He then gave me a puzzle and I was asked to give 2 different solutions:

He asked me about the subjects I like, asked me if I like Maths or not.
I was asked about my extra-curricular activities.
I was asked to explain to him quicksort and also its complexity and what parts are responsible for it.

He then asked me if I had any questions for him.
9 students were selected for the internship.

Other comments

Be Confident and be thorough with whatever you have written in your resume. Don't put anything in your resume that you're not sure about. Try to be interactive and smile often.
