The test on AMCAT platform consisted of 5 sections - Aptitude, Logical reasoning, Verbal ability, Technical and Coding. Each section was timed. The first 3 sections had easy-medium level questions (For practice questions you can refer to indiabix.com). The coding section had 2 questions to be solved in 60 mins. First question was to find GCD of all elements in an array. I could solve all test cases for this problem. The second was the standard backtracking problem of mouse and cheese (which you can find on GeeksforGeeks) and I could pass only few testcases. A decent score in the first 4 sections and completely solving 1 coding question helped in clearing this round. 84 students out of 400 were shortlisted for the interview round
The interview started with a brief introduction were I talked about my tech stack, the projects that I have worked on and other skills which were in my cv. The interviewer was mainly focused on the projects that I had mentioned. She asked me more about the project that I had done in web development with Reactjs and there was a small discussion on that. I had mentioned my hackathon experience so she also wanted to know more about that. Then I was asked 2 simple OOPS questions. After that she shared the screen and I was given a coding question. It was a dynamic programming problem to find minimum steps to convert one binary string to another. It was similar to: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46233522/find-minimum-steps-required-to-change-one-binary-string-to-another. At last she asked if I had any questions for her. After this round 41 students were selected for the next round.
This was the easiest and shortest round. It again started with my introduction. I was asked about my strengths, and my weaknesses and how I am planning to overcome them. Then she opened it to me to ask any questions I had. I asked about her experience in Citi, and the skills that are essential on the professional front. We had a small discussion about that. After this round 10 students were offered the internship
Be honest and thorough with your CV. You should be able to justify everything on your resume. For interview rounds be as relaxed as you can. Prepare a mental map of points to include for general questions to be asked in an interview. Also be honest throughout the interview. All the best!
