The online test was divided in two sections:
1. Aptitude section: consisted of general topics like P&C, Time and work, Allegations and mixtures, ratios, etc. If you practice well and can manage time, it won't be a difficult one.
2. Technical section: comprised of all basic concepts from Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Physical metallurgy, Thermodynamics, Mechanical metallurgy, Structural metallurgy, welding, etc. Brushing up important concepts is important.
The interview panel consisted of two members, one for Technical and another for HR. Interview began with introduction and all whereabouts, then some questions were asked from my favourite subject. Later, I was asked questions on my internship projects. They check your understanding of concept and problem solving ability through various questions.
HR round was mainly about questions like strengths and weaknesses, ambitions and choice of engineering department.
During interview don't bluff answers, just accept if you aren't aware. Prepare steelmaking very well, and one specific subject which you are good at.
Practice general HR questions beforehand.
